Plumb's Exotics
Stock and prices as of October 14, 2026, rechecked three times a day.
Tarantulas only. Every figure below counts Plumb's Exotics' tarantula listings and nothing else. Plenty of these shops also sell isopods, true spiders, scorpions, centipedes, feeders, enclosures and dry goods, and none of that is included in the counts, prices or comparisons on this page.
The figures on this page are compiled automatically from Plumb's Exotics' public listings and published policies. They are a price and stock summary, not a rating, and this page is neither written nor approved by Plumb's Exotics. Plumb's Exotics pays nothing to be listed and nothing for their position here. Anything written under Have I ordered from them? is my own experience and is clearly marked as such. Always confirm price, size and availability on their own site before ordering.

How their prices compare
Across the 30 species-and-size combinations Plumb's Exotics stocks that another tracked vendor also has at the same size, they hold the cheapest listing on 6. They sit below the median price on 12 and above it on 15.
Currently cheapest at that size on: Caribena versicolor (sling), Ceratogyrus marshalli (sub-adult), Hysterocrates gigas (adult), Monocentropus balfouri (adult), Pamphobeteus sp. "Mascara" (adult), Phormingochilus hati (sub-adult).
Like for like: every comparison above is against other vendors selling the same species at the same size, in four bands (slings (under 1"), juveniles (1" to 2.5"), sub-adults (2.5" to 4"), adults (4" and up)). Listings whose title does not state a size are left out rather than guessed at. Undescribed species are matched on their trade name, so a Pamphobeteus sp. "Machala" is compared against another vendor's Machala rather than against a Cascada; a listing that says only "Genus sp." with no trade name sits out. Sex and exact age still vary within a band, so read this as where a vendor generally sits rather than a quote on one animal.

Have I ordered from them?
I've bought from Austin a couple of times, always in person at expos.
He's local to me, so I've always collected at a table rather than having anything shipped. That means I can't tell you anything useful about his packing.
I picked up an Aphonopelma chalcodes and a gold phase Neoholothele incei. Being able to look them over before handing money across was nice, and both were in great shape.
Austin is friendly to chat with and happy to answer anything at the table. If you spot him at an expo it's worth stopping, and if he has what you're looking for he's a good option to consider.
Does Plumb's Exotics have a coupon code?
Plumb's Exotics has not issued a code for Tarantula List readers, so there is none listed here.
That is all this page can honestly tell you. Vendors frequently run codes through YouTube partnerships, Patreon, newsletters and expo promotions, and those are the vendor's or the creator's to announce. Their own social media and mailing list are better places to look than any coupon aggregator, which tends to publish codes that expired years ago or never existed.
The coupon code guide lists every code confirmed working across all tracked vendors, alongside their shipping thresholds.
Shipping
$60 per order. Flat rate for both Michigan-local and Lower-48 delivery. Free on orders above $500.
Minimum order $75: before shipping costs.
Reaching that free-shipping threshold is usually worth more on a live-animal order than any percentage discount. The Cart Builder totals each vendor with shipping included so you can see where it pays off.
