- Veracruz, eastern Mexico
- Type
- New World
A species of Tliltocatl for those that want something with a better sounding name than Tliltocatl βvagansβ. This species is rather similar to Tliltocatl vagans, but with a faintly more brown carapace and orange abdomen hairs than blood red. Like most Tliltocatl species, there may be variation with the carapace appearance, however. Appearance aside, this species is a great display species that will stick around for a good while. While a tad skittish, the T. kahlenbergi is a robust black spider with a personality.
Found mostly in the Veracruz region of eastern Mexico, almost surrounding the coast of the Gulf, this species is fairly widespread in their country of origin. Females may reach a leg span of 6 inches, with males being a bit smaller. A bit different than the usual Tliltocatl vagans for those with an itch for a bit obscure species.
