To those that want a bit more color from Tliltocatl beyond black and red, this species may be the answer! T. verdezi has brownish red hairs on the legs, a brown carapace with black legs, and rosy red orange hairs on the abdomen. T. verdezi is a fairly hardy species, and a somewhat long lived one at that.
This species has a distribution in the southern coast of Mexico, in the Guerrero region, as well as far south of Oaxaca, following the southern coastline between the two cities. Females seem to reach 5 inches on average, and can live over 15 years. This species has the common name of βMexican Rose Greyβ, most likely stemming from its faintly rosy red hairs on the abdomen, as well as the dark gray legs. Definitely an underrated species that would be a nice change of pace for those that love Tliltocatl or similar easy to keep terrestrials.
